This book is a neat way to look into our dialect of English. A chance to see bare much political incorrectness. We get to learn about the "oatmeal Savage": a Scotsman; the "oatmeal North American Chinaman": hardworking Caucasian Canadians. Also some words worth keeping like "glarecrust": the hard surface of old snow. I learned that a "shebang" is a "low drinking establishment frequented by loggers".
