A team of cops from a Paris suburb goes semi-rogue, which does not prevent their use by the intelligence services and the official Paris police. Olivier Marchal is a decent actor & director, but here he has gone overboard. The result is a VERY American vehicle that launches tough guys and gals into action, with violence galore and clichés unlimited. Everybody is continually shouting, angry or psychotic; the anti-hero cop (Jean-Hughes Anglade) strains every nerve pretending he's Al Pacino; standard-issue ethnic gangsters abound; and Karole-with-a-K Rocher wants you to know that she's a tough broad as well as sweet on her team leader. I managed four episodes before throwing in the towel. Just too noisy and violent, and completely without any redeeming procedural elements.
