My favorite early Hercule Poirot episodes were the ones with Hastings!! Initially, loved seeing them together again in the final episode, however, Poirot was obviously becoming mean in old, failing health, and spoke very harshly and demeaning to Hastings -- didn't like seeing that treatment of an old, loyal friend.

Started watching Poirot with my mom years ago. I've seen and enjoyed all the other episodes many times over. Brilliant series, but perhaps a too-depressing final episode. Also don't enjoy references to lab tests on animals.

Five terrific, first rate and even creepy episodes! Great way to end the series. David Suchet was as brilliant as ever with his portrayal of the famed Belgian detective. Nobody has or will ever do a better job. Ever.
SPOILER It was absolutely painful to say goodbye to Poirot.

As always Agatha Christie and David Suchet as Poirot do not disappoint. These final stories are among the very best of the filmed series. Zoe Wannamaker is always entertaining. Suchet pulls at the heart strings with his final portrayal of the aging and ailing Poirot.

Miss Marples have come and gone, but David Suchet has remained and is the definitive Poirot the way Jeremy Brett was as Sherlock Holmes.

The end of a wonderful series is presented here. Fabulous production values, lavish attention to detail, and superb acting as usual for this conclusion to the Poirot series. Well-written and staged this series is a must have in any mystery lover's collection. I watch this series from beginning to end at least once a year and I never tire of it. However......
***SPOILER ALERT***: OMG - bust out the hankies - Poirot dies. I'm not a sniveler but I found myself crying. It seems like the end of an era. No-one else but David Suchet could EVER play this character with the love and care that he did. I'm sure that they will try to re-make this series sometime but no-one will ever replace Suchet. The blasphemy! The horror! *g*

Highly, highly recommend this.

this was not the Poirot I had come to enjoy. I have watched all the episodes with David Suchet and have always enjoyed his portrayal of the detective. Not this time. The last two episodes were very different. The characters were unlikable and dark, not a redeemable trait in any of them. It was as if I was watching an entirely different series. Very disappointing end to Hercule.
