This book is for advanced LEGO builders; it has instructions for building complex creations. Most of these creations use collections of special bricks - what the uber-fans call a SHIP: Significantly Huge Investment in Parts - so unless you have access to thousands of specialized parts, this will just be frustrating to attempt to build the pieces.

I wouldn't recommend this for children under ten, and for older kids, only if they are VERY patient to figure out certain steps and to get creative if they don't have all the parts.

Despite all this, it is inspirational to see all the different ways that LEGO is used.
