I read this book two summers ago. When the author had finished all three - I re-read this book and then the other two. It helped going back and refreshing myself with the characters. I always have enjoyed the way that Mary Alice Monroe writes.

I wish I would have read it first. All three half-sisters have secrets that come to the surface. Each half sister is dealing with her own "demons" and Mamaw and Lucille bring them together for one last summer in hopes they will learn to lean on eachother for the support they need. It sets you up for the second book. The third book has yet to come.

I was disappointed in this book. I kept reading to see whether it was leading somewhere, but no. It didn't seem to set the story up and really delve into the characters especially the father to the three step-sisters.
