This book must have been written for a very select group of readers who are familiar with 'The Thin Man' and 'Maltese Falcon' ( which I have not read in 20 years and can't remember details.) I could not understand the plot, I hated the characters and could not finish the book.

Quirky and perfectly plotted. Loved it.
