I usually love Gena Showalter books and the “Lords of the Underworld” is one of my favorite series. The Lords books are witty and laugh out loud funny. "The Last Kiss Goodnight" is an off shoot of the “Alien Huntress” Series and like some of the books in that series the writing just doesn’t flow. It’s stilted and the dialog is juvenile.
It’s like there are 2 different Gena Showalter: one who writes well and one who doesn’t.

To Gory for my liking. Great writing as always though. DNF

ending seemed somewhat rushed but other than that it was a great read.
Solo is sold to a freaky zoo/circus with an evil ring master, Jeci who's also the father of Vika, a kind, beautiful woman who has been abused by her father which causes her to lose her hearing. Right from the start theres an attraction between Solo and Vika which I loved. This book is the first in the "Otherworld Assassin Series" Hopefully the other books are as good as this one
