Jazz vocalist Elizabeth Shepherd has a clear voice and range in these fresh arrangements of jazz standards. However, two cuts, "Lonely House" and "Sack of Woe" demonstrate that Shepherd should avoid tunes in minor keys. An attractive album for listeners who enjoy double bass and trumpet too (although only 51 minutes).
