Not definitive by half, it surveys the subject.

You know, these books either grab you and give you the information you need the way you will understand it, or they will seem superficial and silly. I did not care for it. Others really do. SPL has a lot of these titles; check them all out and see which work for you.

I ended up purchasing this book! It's really amazingly detailed about the how-to of fabric designing.. If you're considering any kind of print/textile design, this book is definitely the one!
