Learned about the Bay of Pigs which I lived through, but really had no understanding of at the time. Didn't realize how young he and Jackie had been in the White House. The exploration of Lee Harvey Oswald's psyche was very interesting, as was that of Lyndon Johnson.
I've never understood why O'Reilly has so many books about killing people. He plea bargained his way out of a sexual assault charge and God only knows what he doe's behind the scenes
Easy reading book that gives you the behind the scenes look at history.
This was an outstanding account of the last days of President Kennedy, and the events leading up to his death. No conspiracy stuff, just plain facts about all the people involved in President Kennedy's final days, and the high and low points of his life.
Its a lot of 'facts' sometimes its hard to pay attention too, but I knew nothing about the Kennedy's before the book, or the Cuban missile crisis. Kennedy doesn't 'die' until the end of the 6th CD - so most of the book is about his 20's until his death. and Bill doesn't get into all of the conspiracy theories...
This book is well written but no as informative as "Killing Lincoln". Still, it was worth the read and, though most of the facts were known to me, there was some additional information that added to one's overall view of JFK and his clan.
This was a very interesting book. I found it more interesting then Killing LIncoln.
I wish the library could have more copies
