Now titled Playing Dead (2017) and book 1 of new series featuring Anna Smith & Nick Dade, Thrillers.

Darker characters than other Gemma Halliday books.

Anna Smith, dog walker, is the new person Anya Danielvoski, trained assassin, is trying is trying to be. Nick Dade, sole survivor of his US military unit, is now a hired assassin. Nick's target - Anya.

When Nick decides he doesn't want Anna dead, both of their lives are in danger.

The race to save themselves has them in the midst of a senator's election campaign moving this book into a thriller category.

It has its boring moments but it also has some good scenes in it. An overall decent thriller novel.

Assassins with hearts of gold? Assassin as super-hacker? Shaky premise, but OK suspense novel with an almost obscene ending; politics as a sure thing corruption!
