Good easy reading, as usual.

Pretty good until the end. Story fell as flat as a wet noodle.

As always, I say don't be put off by the talking animals. For once, they don't save Harry, she badasses her way out all by herself in this one! I love the way this author makes the characters real, with a past, present, and future, big things like weddings and little things like doctor visits all described with such love.

Agreed with below! Same old, same old - at least if you are speaking about the style of the recent offerings in the series. No suspense! Just a string of adages. An average rating is actually disappointment for this author.

I am puzzled as to why I keep reading these books. Maybe I'm still hoping the style and action of the early books will suddenly come roaring back. Even the animal characters--usually by far the most charming part of the story--are starting to annoy me.
