The beginning before the movie. I really enjoyed reading this and seeing what has happened to explain things I had not known when I watched the movie. As a comic it speaks louder to you. Ready to read the next volume!

* Permeated by both astronomy and magic, this book is a good combination of sci fi and fantasy.
* Aughra is much brought forward in this comic. And yet, the more we get to know her, the more mysterious she becomes!
* This book is a collection of loosely-related stories, but with a unifying plot arc. I liked some of the stories more than others. My favorites were those that, like the film The Dark Crystal, were beauteous with just an edge of darkness. I particularly liked "A Song of Ndes."

It was nice to be back in the world of the Dark Crystal. Also great to see Aughra and exactly how important she is in the grand scheme of things. I'm curious to see the other volumes!
