One of the first signs of a future in clowndom is if you were a class clown in school. George Brown has a future in clowndom. Moving to new school, seeking to fit in, he wishes some of his good talents (making people laugh) and some of his less than stellar attempts (pranks) would translate to his new school. They do in the form of a wish. The wish backfires, making George public enemy number one amongst adults but respected amongst his classmates. This is the case in this book when George wins a chance to participate in a local spelling bee. Hilarity ensues on the road to the bee. You are not aware of the results to the very end. This is my first George Brown book. I am going to back order the remainder books and keep up with the series. Kudos to Nancy Krulik and Aaron Blecha for a a character and images make you want to read more.
