Magic likes to live in dark and dingy places and so it settles in Mr. Hardbattle’s book store. At first it is just annoying but it becomes stronger and Mr. Hardbattle is determined to relocate it. When he goes off to find a suitable home for it and leaves Miss Quint in charge things take a turn for the worse. This book is full of funny twists and turns as books, staples, paper clips, thumbtacks and other items take on their own lives. If you like magic, this is a book for you.
