As well as being a Nobel prize winning physicist for his contributions to QED, Feynman was probably the most renowned teacher of physics. His three volumes "Feynman Lectures on Physics" which were actually lectures given to undergrads at Berkeley in the mid-60s have been reissued and purchased by generations of physics students ever since they were first published in 1964, and rightly so. He is a wonderful teacher who provides understandable explanations and novel examples of the material he is teaching. Many snippets of his lectures can be seen on youtube. Although the Ottawa library notes the complete set of three volumes and the photo is of volume 3, they actually only seem to have volume 2. I don't know what happened to the other two volumes, but they could easily replace them and should. There is also a missing lecture on the orbits of planets that the library should get. The Feynman lectures are a must-have for any serious library.
