To support his family, Billy Crystal's father, Jack, worked two jobs, having only one day a week to spend with his family. Based on Crystal's one-man Broadway show of the same name, "700 Sundays"--referring sadly to the time shared by an adoring father and his devoted son--offers a heartfelt, hilarious memoir. Loved, loved this book!! Made me laugh out loud in some places and in other places wipe my eyes! It’s about a man, Billy Crystal, giving humble credit and adoration to his father, mother, brothers and extended family for the things they did to influence his life (and provide some good comedy material). Hats off to him for being man enough to share with the world the love of his family ( and baseball). It’s a quick read and hard to put down! I’ve never given my thoughts on a book before, but this book is meant to be shared.

disappointed. comes across like a guy with a chip on his shoulder and he is better than that. plus, this was supposed to be the story of his life- not his parents. or was it?

if he really didn't have much to write about,he should have begged off.
but i cannot believe he had nothing tell us about the background stories of working on Saturday Night Live and Soap and all the great movies he did.

Don't read it unless you want to feel ferklempt, as Mike Meyers would say
