I think this author showed her brilliance in "Between, Georgi" but couldn't find it again for this book.

A gypsy’s prediction sends Rose on a cross-country journey with a gun and her dog. She making an escape, but also a new start.

Chilling portrayal of domestic violence. Brave yet human characters. Had me hanging right up until the last pages. Well worth a read!

Jackson is very smart, with a brilliant sense of humor. In this book, she takes a very serious topic and skillfully brings it to life without the reader knowing how deeply it penetrates their soul. After reading this book, I read all her other books, not stopping to compare and judge, but taking them in as each individual piece of work. I can't wait to see more from her.

Wonderful characterization, and the story's not bad either.

I truely enjoyed this book. Once I was started, i couldnt put it down. A very empowering book for battered women. This book also gives an insight to lives of the abused. Great book!
