"What would Amanda be like? David couldn't help but wonder. It wasn't every day you got a new sister, especially one a year older than you were. Amanda was Molly's daughter, and Molly was David's new stepmother. David like Molly and so did the three younger children. But Amanda was something else!"

A wonderfully funny book about two families learning to live together. The book is a wonderful blend of the supernatural and realism. The Stanley family welcomes their stepsister Amanda who shows up with a chip on her shoulder and an interest in the occult. The Stanley children are fascinated especially when Amanda's interest gets them drawn into a mystery AND reveals that they have some magic of their own.
Snyder is a wonderful author and her books are all worth pursuing and reading.
