Wow. It's been four days since I watched the film, and still, it's fresh and raw in my mind. It may come across as a low budget film (and it was done on a shoestring, don't get me wrong), but it's a film I won't soon forget. Highly recommended if you can take the subject matter. The Brit's know drama!

Fast paced thriller that catches you in the very first scene and doesn’t let you go until the final credits. Why is a battered streetwise hooker and a 12-year old girl desperately trying to get out of London as fast as they can? Why is her pimp obsessed with finding them? And who is the smartly dressed sociopath that seems to be pulling everyone’s strings? This is mainstream entertainment to be sure, but expertly directed with phenomenal performances and an aura of tension that never lets up. A great Saturday night at the movies!

Quite a movie indeed! Apart from the brutal content of it, which was well expected by reading the back of the box, I had an instant dislike for the character, Joanne. I hated her the entire way and felt really sorry that Kelly chose to look after her. Sad, the end, really. Kelly deserved a better end.

Good script. Great acting.
And effective cinimatography in service to the story-telling , but wthhout calling attention to itself.
And NO EXPLOSIONS !!
And made on only 250K (lbs.) !!

A tough, gritty film to watch, but well-acted all around. The young actor who plays Joanne, was superb. Definitely not for the faint of heart, or those who object to strong language.

Frightening or Intense Scenes: Characters get beaten and shot to death. A dying, bloodied man suffers until he is dead.

Sexual Content: Off-camera mainly but it's a very strong subject throughout. Pedophilia is also very dominant here.

Violence: Various physical beatings that go off and on camera. The wounds are also apparent.

Coarse Language: An enormous amount of swearing throughout the entire film.
