Excellent source of info. Basically the only book you need. I was stuck reading blogs for a long time and when I finally got my hands on this I knew I had a trusted source of info and didn't need to rely on blogs or web sites.

This is a factual, science-based book that explains pregnancy and child birth from a medical perspective in plain, simple, easy to understand language.

I'm a bit disappointed that the library chose such a negative Publisher's Weekly review for this book. I would argue the reviewer is biased towards books that more fully explore alternative child birth philosophies, a category in which there is no dearth of material. This book fills a valuable gap for those who simply want a straightforward medical perspective.

I enjoyed this book very much and would recommend it strongly to someone who is looking for a "just the facts m'am" approach to pregnancy.
