My favorite of the Victorian Arcane novels. Caleb Jones is a different hero and the dialogue between Caleb and Lucinda is a delight.

I love this Arcane Society Series(which does not nessassarilly need toe read in order). In this book,Lucinda, who has a botanical paranormal talent, is accused of poisoning people. She hires Caleb Jones, founder of a paranormal investigative agency, to exonercate her.
Historical,paranormal,mystery,romance and advetnure!
A nice,light beach read.

An excellent Victorian-era story of paranormal suspense and murders within the Arcane Society. Book one of the Dreamlight Trilogy.

Second one entitled Burning Lamp.
