Everyone knows Scott Adams as the king of workplace humour. But why should a humourist stick to the workplace when there are so many other great subjects to explore? What about politics? Religion? Malfunctioning underpants? Adams now offers more than 150 short pieces on every slice of human existence, from airport fiascos to wedding planning, from his doughnut theory of the universe to the menace of car singing. This book is every bit as entertaining as the Dilbert comic strip. I really enjoyed reading Adams' take on this seemingly random, oddball selection of topics. It made me want to treat him to dinner and discuss many of his musings in depth...and his writing style is such that it's easy to believe he'd enjoy doing that! I hope he will continue to ignore the (see title) naysayers' advice!

Adams has a different way of looking at things. Here there are few drawings but many ideas and tales, each just a couple of pages that tell much about the author and his unusual slant on the world.

As a diehard Dilbert fan, I thought I would like this book more. Scott Adams turns out to be less likable than I would have thought, mostly because of his outsize ego and his belief that he is smarter than everyone else. Still, this book did have it's good parts, and it was worth reading. I'd rate it a B minus.

A very funny and quirky collection of short (1 or 2 page) observations and thoughts on varied subjects. Written in a style similar to the comic strip (Dilbert). A view into a alternative, and humorous mind. Highly recommended for those that enjoy his Dilbert comic strip.
