Sad that a DVM would promote the idea that mutts are healthier. They're not. In order to get "hybrid vigour" the parents must be of different SPECIES (Horse/Donkey=mule, coyote/dog= coydog). The only reason that it appears as if mutts are healthier is because there is nobody tracking mutts health. They don't have to go for a battery of tests before being allowed to breed.

This is a very basic knowledge introduction to first time puppy owners. It provides information that every puppy owner should know regarding training, health, socializing, and puppy development stages.
