Growing up in the 1970's, I watched the brady bunch religiously after I got home from school.
I like many others was in envy of Marcia Brady. She really seemed to have it together. The book is a startling eye opener to how much she suffered inside. It talks about her excessive drug use, and partying to the point of almost no return. It is well written and worth reading.

There are a lot of problems and temptations such as drugs and alcohol that go with being a celebrity. Ms McCormick seems to take a pretty honest look at her life and made some positive changes before it was too late. There were not a lot of surprises about a Brady but I nevertheless enjoyed her story about being the older sister of the Brady Bunch.

Maureen McCormick was no 'Marcia, Marcia, Marcia'! Brutally honest, she tells of a life that had little resemblens to her perfect girl-next-door character.

It's a bit embarrassing to admit that I read this book. I think every boy that was born in the ?50's liked Marcia Brady, so I have to admit that was the initial motivation. However, it was better written (or edited) than I expected. I didn't know that Maureen McCormick, the real Marcia Brady, was one very, very messed up person. Even now, she is battling with a delusional father and brother. It has not been a very Brady life. I found the book a good summer-reading type book.
