Noémie has left her home in France to study abroad. In Onion Citythere are new friends, new environments, and new loves. There are also newdreams. And not ordinary dreams. Vivid visions of life in a different time andin a different place, but more than that, of a different existence. In Noemie'ssleep she's not a woman, but a horse. A noble creature aiding a sick littlegirl. But how does this effect Noemie's own journey?
I love comics. I mean I really really love comics. I read comics about things I don't even like, & still enjoy them. But sometimes I come across a piece of crap like this, & I just don't get it. Reading this made me nauseous & I had to force my way through it. Some of the art is nice, but the story is so pretentious & whimsical and YAWN...just...no more please.
An artistic approach to get across the message to move on. Just by meeting new people it is possible to get over things that happened in the past. One neat thing about this graphic novel is that Noemie speaks and thinks in both English and French.
