"Back in junior high, Haruna Nagashima was only interested in two things: softball and manga. Now that she's starting high school, Haruna's focus has changed--she wants to snag a boyfriend and have the romance of her dreams! After blindly following the advice of fashion magazines and the like, Haruna fails to win the eye of any guy. Convinced that a coach is needed (just like when she trained for softball), she recruits cute upperclassman Yoh Komiyama to instruct her on how to make herself more appealing. Yoh agrees, with one catch: Haruna had better not fall for him!"--Cover, p. [4].

Not bad. I'm not usually one to complain about the heroine not being a 'strong character', but, I'm sorry to say, Haruna's pathetic. Has she lived on an all-girl's planet for the first fifteen years of her life? Or has no one conveyed the message I always seem to hear: 'Be yourself'? You'd think ... Read More »

This was a good continuation. Yoh and Haruna are cute together, and although they are both new at dating, they both want to try their best (with Haruna being WAY more obvious about it than Yoh XD).

Cute idea, cute characters. This manga is really geared for high school students, and all the things they want (specifically love) at that age. The characters were good, and the story seems promising.

I love this book! All the characters are fun and seem realistic. The art isn't great - nor bad - but the story is very well done.

This is the part in every manga where the characters quit beating around the bush and begin to feel comfortable in their roles. Only now does the inevitable happen: Haruna falls for Yoh. And now the How-to-get-a-boyfriend lessons finish, and the how-to-make-a-relationship-work ones begin. It won't be long before I hunt down the next volume of this.

Haruna, the ditsy, sporty freshman has found someone who she wants to date! After her small heartbreak over Fumi, she regroups with her love coach, the sullen Yoh, to find a boyfriend. But what happens when the guy Haruna likes is...YOH!? Especially after he specifically agreed to be her love coach as long as she DIDN'T fall for him?!?! Haruna can't seem to get over him, and as a result, starts to act less-than-normal when she's with him. But as Yoh begins to wonder, will Haruna be able to tell him she likes him?

Sexual Content: Haruna tries to make herself more appealing to men to get hit on and get a boyfriend. Some of her notes include the words "hot" and "sexy" describing certain things (hair, clothes, etc.). {SPOILER ALERT} When Haruna first meets Yoh, she's blurts "You're hot." A guy Haruna planned to date holds her against her will in an alley to kidnap her (but Yoh saves her).
