Although criticized and censured by Félix's family - and rightfully so since the creator had never personally acquainted or met Féix- I found it interesting to get the impressions of Daniel Lavoie, who greatly respected and admired him. Daniel's interpretations of Félix's songs are sometimes "way out there" especially right at the beginning with "Bozo" and its monsters in a surrealistic theme, almost Stephen "King-ish". I thought "WTF"!
But I enjoyed and wondered at the biographical parts . Could there be some truth? Were Félix's family perhaps being over protective of their father? Although, I also found Daniel sometimes belittling of his and my hero. Daniel does some fine singing and guitar work of Félix's songs.Ireccommend seeing this video but I much prefer the Félix Documentary:
