Illustrations are included to help the reader understand what the acupuncturist does and why. Kidson also explains the fundamental principles of Chinese medicine underlying this effective therapy, offers advice on how to find a good practitioner, and shows what to expect from consultation and treatment. Even though I was very interested in the subject, I found this book extremely hard to read. I can't explain why exactly, it's stylistically heavy. I also didn't find it very helpful in explaining what was meant by certain terminology. Suffice it to say that I was disappointed in this book which purported to be "for Everyone"!
