The #1 bestseller--for King's rabid fans.

It happens innocently enough, but doesn't it always. A big, friendly dog chases a rabbit into a hidden underground cave--and stirs a sleeping evil crueler than death itself.

A terrified four-year-old boy sees his bedroom closet door swing open untouched by human hands, and screams at the unholy red eyes gleaming in the darkness.

The little Maine town of Castle Rock is about to be invaded by the most hideous menace ever to savage the flesh and devour the mind.

King has a way of meshing together over 3 different families where their lives all tie together before even meeting each other.

Not a classic Stephen King horror story, but a great read nonetheless. I love how he can capture the state of the human mind, translate it into words, and make the emotions of the characters so relatable. It's definitely a more subtle kind of suspense compared to some of his other famous novels. Great characters, plot, and ending (even though it made me cry).

I seen the movie but heard the book was way better. It is. The ending I was in shock....
I felt bad for the dog and how the family just ignored him from the beginning of his pain.
I liked how the whole " if I did this, than this wouldn't of happened", kind of thing.
Gave it 3 stars...

An "okay" book by Stephen King (The Shining is way better.) It has realistic aspects to the parents lives and you end up feeling sad for Cujo, the boy, and his mother, but ultimately, I give it three stars because I don't like the ending. (The movie ends bittersweet while the book is very sad.)
