Veterinary Mysteries and Advice on Feline Care and Behavior

This Engagingly Written Book, which reads like a combination of James Herriot and a veterinary version of Dr. Spock, offers practical advice in the form of true-life tales and case histories from Dr. Howard Padwee's 44 years of experience. As Padwee describes his often hilarious, always illuminating encounters with his feline patients, he imparts plenty of nitty-gritty information about cat care.

Generally great veterinary advice given through anecdotal details. Great for cat lovers. However, the author favours declawing, which is a multiple amputation procedure which the Ottawa Humane Society opposes. (They remove part of the phalangeal bones in order to prevent the claw from re-growing).
