“Boo Hoo Bird” by Jeremy Tankard used to be really popular back when I was in kindergarten. My friends and I used to get so excited when the teacher used to say we were reading this in class because it was our favourite book to read, we would read it all the time. The book “Boo Hoo Bird” was very relatable to us as well because we have experienced the same thing he has at least once, which was getting hurt while playing with a ball and starting to cry because of it. This book also has very nice illustrations. I would rate this book a 4/5. @TheBookieReadingMonster of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

Poor bird gets hit on the head during a game of catch with his friends. To make him feel better, Bird's friends offer many suggestions and techniques for how Bird can be happy again. Ages 0-6.

A fun game of catch goes bad when bird gets hit with a ball. Lucky for Bird that he has great friends who try to make him feel better. Great story to share with your children and have them "picture read" to you too. Although Jeremy Tankard was born in South Africa, he now lives in Canada and has a special Calgary connection. His mother is a Librarian! See for full biography. m~

Loved the part when Boo Hoo Bird stood on his head to try and make his friends stop crying.

This is a great story to read. I love reading it to my child. She likes to participate when Bird gets a hug or kiss etc. I would recommend it to any parent with a child 4 and under.

Everyone at our school loves BooHoo Bird! We are thinking that this will be the Blue Spruce winner.

I thought this book was funny because weird things happened in this book for example a raccoon threw a ball at a bird's head which was funny.
