"Everyone's a aliebn when ur a aliebn too is the illustrated story of a lonely alien sent to observe Earth, only to meet all sorts of creatures with all sorts of perspectives on life, love, and happiness, all while learning to feel a little better about being an alien--based on the enormously popular Twitter account, @jonnysun. Here is the unforgettable story of Jomny, a lonely alienwho, for the first time ever, finds a home on our planet after learning that earthlings can feel lonely too. Jomny finds friendship in a bear tired of other creatures running away in fear, an egg struggling to decide what to hatch into, an owl working its way to being wise, a tree feeling stuck in one place, a tadpole coming to terms with turning into a frog, a dying ghost, apuppy unable to express itself, and many more. Through this story of a lost, lonely and confused alien finding friendship, acceptance, and love among the creatures of Earth, we will all learn how to be a little more human. And for all of us earth-bound creatures here on this planet, we can all be reminded that sometimes, it takes an outsider to help us see ourselves for who we truly are"--

Cute, quick, and unexpectedly touching read about a naive alien who comes to Earth to study humans, mistakenly takes every living thing he encounters to be a human, and learns about life, friendship, and happiness in the process of his explorations.

A really sweet read about friendship and trying to fit in. Once you get used to the spelling quirks, it's a fun book and good for all ages.

This book is on the surface, yet deep. Simply complicated. Amazing book- everyone should read it at least once (if not more than once).

This sweet little graphic novel is surprisingly full of touching moments and quotes. It is not for everyone and the narrative thread is not strong, but the main character is endearing and full of insights into humanity and the world in which we live. It’s a quick read, and perhaps requires a reread after to catch and retain some of the more thought-provoking lines. It is also worth it to read the “log entries” on the inside covers. This story is silly, inspiring, and might make you question the meaning of life. The cutesy illustrations are well matched with the subject matter. I enjoyed the perspective and introspection this book brought to my day, and will have fun as I continue thinking about my world from a aliebn’s point of view.

Sometimes uplifting, sometimes sad, sometimes thought provoking. A good look at our relationship to our thoughts, to each other, and to mortality. I felt a little less lonely after reading it.

Execution is nifty, I was drawn to it. Conception is nutty, may inspire or sooth certain personalities or cultural upbringings. Too childish even for kids?

Can be taken as just a cute story (the simple illustrations are adorable, everyone speaks fluent Typo, and there is humor sprinkled throughout) or as a philosophical exploration on appreciating existence.

It's the cutest collection of existential crises, ever.

I really enjoyed this book. Invoked laughter, sadness, empathy and longing. It looks like a kids book, and it is kid friendly; it also has deep existential topics, followed by short comedic relief.
I recommend this book, especially to those going through relationship hardships or philosophically minded.

I love this book so much! This might be my book of the year - the one that everyone gets for Christmas!
