Not to be confused with the 2017 feature film, this is a 2004 BBC production telling the story of Dunkirk in three episodes, from the perspective of enlisted men and junior officers during the evacuation all the way up to generals and the war cabinet. Numerous well known British actors play the parts of real men throughout, and the story, told in detail, is all narrated by former Bond Timothy Dalton. An interesting counterpoint to Christopher Nolan's film.

Excellent cinematography but editing wanting: major scene injected night shot, in error.
