During the 1980s, there was increased focus on drug abuse. Community groups found innovative ways to educate children about drugs. The Divine Universal Brotherhood converted an old bookmobile into an "anti-drug mobile" which they then used to patrol the streets of Washington, D.C., in order to intercept drug trafficking.
